Ah, fall around Tahoe.
The crowds have dispersed, temperatures waver around the low 60s – which is perfect hiking and biking weather, by the way – and Mother Nature is simply showing off all her glorious colors as the aspens change from green to yellow to deep orange. It’s time for a weekend getaway while rates are low before the snow! Pack your scarfs and plaid layers, and celebrate all things autumn at the 9th Annual fall Festival at Tahoe Donner’s Northwoods Clubhouse on October 13 from 11AM to 4PM.
This family-friendly event offers something for everyone with a day packed full of live entertainment, kids’ carnival area, costume competition, pumpkin patch, local arts and crafts vendors, Oktoberfest style barbecue and beer garden!
Entry ticket purchases are required and on sale now (and does sell out, FYI)! Ticket entry for kids’ includes unlimited access to the corn maze, bounce house, climbing wall, face painting, obstacle course and much more! It also includes one sweet treat of choice, one pony ride for ages 6 and under, and one balloon animal. Your kiddos are sure to walk away happy, and full of fall’s pleasures.
If you don’t feel like driving, or plan to imbibe on some tasty autumn beers, catch the free shuttle bus running between the Trout Creek Recreation Center and Northwoods Clubhouse from 11AM to 4:30PM.
